1. Do not cut off the habit of doing good
Nor make the sustenance of the devotee his punishment

2. Overlook the sins of others, for He
Whose forgiveness you hope for, forgives His creation

3. And if a friend commits a mistake
Conceal it by ignoring it and excel him in virtue

4. For the sin of slander by Mustah
Lowers the star's status from its zenith

5. What has happened, happened
And the friend was admonished for his own good
