15. And poetry is what enchants souls
And some poetry is corrupt

16. And poetry is what ignites passions
Otherwise, it is cold

17. And poetry in the noble is alive
Immortal; and money expires

18. It is injustice for the pearls of the heart
To be strung for other than a connoisseur

19. And the gifted jeweler, his necklaces shine
With necklaces upon necklaces

20. Welcome, O Spring,
To the one whose return brought joy

21. And each smiling mouth has
Various springs and resources

22. Welcome O Abdullah
Welcome O Pride and Praise

23. To Kuwait’s youth and its wealth
And its intrepid, helpful Prince

24. Welcome O Beacon
Of hopes, desires, and goals

25. Welcome and good tidings schools
And offices and institutes

26. After the dark and bright stars
And the poets and compositions

27. O joy of poets in the
Shadow of calamities and woes

28. My Master, O Hope of the beloved
And her free, struggling son

29. O you whose esteem after the praise
Dimmed Mercury

30. And your love in our hearts
And souls built the most sacred sanctuaries

31. And your praise made time chant
And how it roared and fell prostrate

32. O a torrent that heals and is not
Exhausted after roses wither

33. O a blessing from God never
Denied with no ingrate among the people

34. Yesterday, we bid farewell to the departed
With our tears and pains

35. And today, before you we meet
With cares and purposes

36. So take the reins and march with us
For luck is decisive and ascending

37. March, O eminent, determined one
For today, you are one with us

38. You have will to scorn hardships
And plotters and schemes

39. For you know best the path
And barriers and traps

40. For you, O son of Salem, know best
Politics and predators

41. And you know best the fields
And what they yield and the harvests

42. And you know more than any other
Who rose above some seats

43. The fullest bucket is no richer than
Those exchanges

44. O Lord, a storm capsized
A ship while the sea was still

45. And a dove of peace folded
Its wings for the sake of truce

46. And a drunk lies unconscious in bed
While his dog keeps guard

47. And when he wakes up in the morning
And finds his pillow gone

48. Many a worthless necklace
Cannot be bought with a golden wire

49. And the lamp’s fire is not
The fire in the depths of furnaces

50. And lust for riches, if it takes root
Is like lust for feasts

51. Asceticism is found in the sky
And the wolf may be an ascetic

52. This, and God's guidance, how
Many traps are set by hunters

53. And religion is of heaven’s blessings
And in its name, the hunter thrives

54. And the father of bigotry and disobedience
Is ignorance, the father of corruption

55. And knowledge is a torch whose
Lights produce benefits

56. So onward, ever onward
With us, no excuse to be idle

57. To the Straight Path
And you will not see deviation among the people

58. Hellfire is the abode of those who stray
And those who breach the foundations

59. And God is ever watchful, shaming
Every devil and demon

60. And to solidarity and dedication
We are all soldiers who pledge

61. And sincere congratulations
O best leader

62. And to the treasure of Al Sabah
They are excellent supporters

63. And for us, after your
Blessed ascension, recurring celebrations

64. O son of glory, the horizons have
Scope for it, and proofs of it

65. All take wing, and for resolve
Its sky, and the same for sacrifices

66. My Master, I do not complain of fate
Though in the past it was hostile

As they wound, and blades

In which I take refuge from enviers

But radiance for every pursuer

70. Blood for Kuwait, its son

71. For our elders and youth, we are all
Joyful and immortal

72. And loyalty, and God bears witness
