1. I roamed its valleys today and asked of them,
Then tears flowed down upon my garment copiously.
١. عَرَّجتُ فيها سَراةَ اليومِ أَسأَلُها
فأَسبَلَ الدَمعُ في السِربالِ وانفَتَلا
2. Greetings to the God who granted it as home,
At Al Aqabah, so generously has He bestowed.
٢. حيّا الإلِهُ وَبَيّاها وَنَعَّمَها
داراً بِبُرقَةِ ذي العَلقى وَقَد فَعَلا
