1. The imagination never disappears for long
It comes nearer to you, longing and arousing

2. Always fulfilling loyalty, it has never ceased
To be naturally disposed to loyalty

3. It went away, though sleep had banned its eyelids from trembling
A heart remembering you that does not cease pulsating

4. Has the time of our misfortunes returned
So that union with you returns to me again?

5. Days make me tread the paths of youth confused
Not knowing the road in them

6. I love the graceful beauty, embracing youth
And I visit the epitome of youth, gracefully

7. I do not notice the days for a fleeting moment
Until our time returns glorified

8. And riders who come out of the darkness of night
Like arrows polished among them sharpened

9. And the dawn, its gown polished as if it were
A cheek's robe that sucked something delicious

10. Towards the noble leader, the brave hero
Whom God matched in his determination to grant success

11. A king who pleases you in appearance and speech
Forever, and widens with swords the narrow

12. He meets pleasure with a cheerful face
And if the two groups meet he returns reconciled

13. Vast are the places where he stays, but if he travels
He leaves the horizon narrow in his entourage

14. And if the sea of hatred surges he crosses it
And kills those who oppose him in it drowned

15. The sun of day was veiled by him and the
Iron sun shone at his sides rising

16. Al-Samida’ became singular in the world
And attained heights among the people

17. His sword forever vanquishes his enemies
And his assault in both worlds is burning

18. God shaped him as a generous one, created him
To elevate the light of time gracefully

19. Generosity became shaded with Ja’far
So the knot of time became bound to him

20. He struts in garments of hope and rides
Ambitions that set up a market for glorious deeds

21. So the matter you do not spend a night planning is lost
And the caravan whose road you do not pave

22. There, the holiday is an everlasting day
Returning to you, a success granting success

23. Remaining, O Commander of the Faithful, and your shade
You hope for salvation and fear no hindrance

24. Surrender to fate, you are the pearl of its crown
You have always been a lord for the eminent, truly

25. Surrender to the kindness that busied you with loving it
A heart bound to loving the kind ones

26. And excellent poetry I have perfumed
So I strung pearls and rubies from it

27. I made its expression gleam then composed it
As if I gleamed perfume from it
