1. I see rejection on your face that does not change
And staying connected to you in love becomes difficult

2. I make excuses to myself for Zorah’s threat
While without her the young man’s eye grieves

3. Did the coldness of Hinda's eye to crying deceive you
And your vision from my tearful eyes streams down

4. So you have become intent on killing me, undertaking
To Allah I complain, indeed it is mightier than you

5. I will meet a man deficient of perfection and grace
And it suffices me the goodness of a man when he remembers

6. With the intention of the aspired I excelled in goodness and consent
And he who hopes for it with righteousness always succeeds

7. So the worth of the master ibn Mufarraj
A noble young man, beautiful traits, most virtuous

8. I wondered at the virtue in him when I saw him
And I did not cease to ponder his deeds

9. He has an ambition that rises above any ambition
And wise opinion in matters, well-considered

10. Establishing the people of moderation by giving generously
So some come hoping while others depart

11. He sees that one who befriends him has done greater favor
When the aspiring ones come to him bearing good news

12. And I know that in aspiring towards him
Is achieving consent in what I love and prefer

13. Complete consent to merit, religion and generosity
And through it the origin of glories to be proud of

14. His hands removed poverty through munificence and grace
And he attained the heights from which others fall short

15. When an aspirant sought him while destitute
No delay he fears, nor refusal he worries about

16. Grace has accustomed him, he refuses the novelties
And your goodly tales ceaselessly spread forever

17. Congratulations on the feast which you are its feast
And the feasts do not cease to multiply with you

18. In it met happiness, prosperity and consent
And all that you hope for is smooth and facilitated
