3. He guided him, more dexterous than the gazelles of Tihama
Like the gazelle watching the gazelles, spying on them

4. My glances were exhausted, though they only
Glanced at the eyes, their feasting consumed them

7. The breeze makes the rosebay willowherbs flutter in it
As the mouths whisper to each other

8. My soul is sacrificed for him during his absence
Forever, and who do I have that I can sacrifice for him?

10. I yearn for the Hejaz, its meadows and streams
And its plains, mountains and landmarks

11. So Allah watered its valleys, saddles, meadows,
Plateaus, lowlands, and hills

The view of its land equal to its sky

18. A mountain for all people in leadership, and I do not see
Two men differing regarding his supremacy

19. The Merciful molded him from nobility, so if
A miserโ€™s palm touched him, it would enrich him

20. Yemen in his prosperity, see how
His conditions turned favorable, and ease in his comfort

21. He governed the great regions with his palm,
A pen that foils the thorns of calamities

22. He reveals a serene forehead for the wretched whose
Tears flowed from it in streams

ูˆูŽุชูŽุฏูŽูู‘ูŽู‚ูŽุช ู„ู„ุจุดุฑ ููŠู‡ู ู…ูŠุงู‡ู

23. And he gives good tidings with his serene forehead
Of success to the prosperous before misfortune reaches them

24. His soul calls him to generosity whenever
It calls him, alive with dew, yearning for him

25. He knows the generous one when he mounts his saddle
That the poor man needs the girth other than him

ูขูฅ. ูŠูŽุฏุฑูŠ ุงู„ุฌูŽูˆุงุฏูŽ ุฅูุฐุง ุงุณุชูŽูˆู‰ ููŠ ู…ูŽุชู†ูู‡ู
ุฃูŽู†ู‘ูŽ ุงู„ููŽู‚ูŠุฑ ุฅูู„ู‰ ุงู„ุญูุฒุงู… ุณููˆุงู‡ู

26. So it is as if for his firmness in his manner
A limb enabled over its plateau steadied him

27. He does not gain supremacy except with gazelles
When the chests of their necks bow down

ูขูง. ู„ุง ูŠูŽู‚ุชูŽู†ูŠ ุงู„ุนู„ูŠุง ุฅูู„ู‘ุง ุจูุงู„ุธูุจู‰
ู‚ุฏู…ุงู‹ ุฅูุฐุง ูˆู†ูŠูŽุช ุตูุฏูˆุฑ ู‚ูŽู†ุงู‡ู

28. So the seasoned white swords - their tongues have no
Eloquence except the skulls and the necks are their lips

ูขูจ. ูุงู„ุจูŠุถ ุงู„ุณู†ุฉ ู†ูŽูˆุงุทูู‚ ู…ุงู„ู‡ุง
ุฅูู„ู‘ุง ุงู„ุฌูŽู…ุงุฌูู…ู ูˆูŽุงู„ุฑูู‚ุงุจู ุดููุงู‡ู

29. Resolute, if you seek resolution
From every honed blade, it will make you self-sufficient

30. O you who criticizes him for his charity
As if the clouds are miserly to water it

ูฃู . ูŠุง ู…ูŽู† ูŠูููŽู†ู‘ูุฏูู‡ู ุนูŽู„ู‰ ุฅูุนุทุงุฆูู‡ู
ู„ูŽูˆู…ู ุงู„ุณูŽุญุงุฆูุจู ุฃูŽู† ุชูŽุดูุญู‘ูŽ ุณูŽู‚ุงู‡ู

31. Would you blame him for generosity when it is his nature
To nurse since infancy and after nursing, he fed it?

ูฃูก. ุฃูŽุชูŽู„ูˆู…ูŽู‡ู ููŠ ุงู„ุฌูˆุฏู ูˆูŽู‡ูˆูŽ ุฑูŽุถุงุนุฉ
ู‚ูุฏู…ุงู‹ ูˆู…ู† ุจุนุฏ ุงู„ุฑูŽุถุงุนู ุบูŽุฐุงู‡ู

32. So if a critic prohibits him from his charity
He does not prevent him, as if enticing him

ูฃูข. ููŽุฅูุฐุง ู†ูŽู‡ุงู‡ู ุนุงุฐูู„ูŒ ุนูŽู† ุฌูˆุฏูู‡ู
ู„ูŽู… ูŠูุซู†ูู‡ู ูˆูŽูƒุฃูŽู†ู‘ูŽู‡ู ุฃูŽุบุฑุงู‡ู

33. His grace cannot be described, even if
All the servants altogether moved their lips

ูฃูฃ. ู„ุง ูŠูุณุชูŽุทุงุน ู„ูููŽุถู„ูู‡ู ูˆูŽุตููŒ ูˆูŽู„ูŽูˆ
ุฃูŽู†ู‘ูŽ ุงู„ุนูุจุงุฏูŽ ุจุฃูŽุณุฑูู‡ู… ุฃูŽููˆุงู‡ู

34. He has certainly perfected everything so
Allah has protected him from the evil eye of perfection

ูฃูค. ููŽู‚ูŽุฏ ุงูุบุชูŽุฏู‰ ููŠ ูƒูู„ู‘ู ุดูŽูŠุก ูƒุงู…ูู„ุงู‹

35. The resolve of Khaydar and the might of Muhammad
Are in him, no parents transcend them

36. A lineage whose title is evident in his face
If an illiterate sees him, he would recognize him

ูฃูฆ. ู†ูŽุณูŽุจุงู‹ ุชูŽุฑู‰ ุนู†ูˆุงู†ู‡ ููŠ ูˆูŽุฌู‡ูู‡ู
ููŽู„ูŽูˆ ุฃูŽู†ู‘ูŽ ุฃูู…ูŠู‘ุง ูŠูŽุฑุงู‡ู ู‚ูŽุฑุงู‡ู

37. You resemble your grandfather Ahmad in supremacy
The noble ones in elevation are similar

38. Generosity was distributed so all people
In their entirety flowed from his name, and you encompassed its meaning

39. So whoever claims, after the Prophet and his progeny,
The qualities of excellence, his claim is belied

ู…ูŽุนู†ู‰ ุงู„ููŽุถุงุฆูู„ู ูƒูุฐู‘ูุจูŽุช ุฏูŽุนูˆุงู‡ู

40. If kindness begot an offspring, you would be his son
Or if he was born, you would be his father

41. You are spring, and how can a place live
Other than by spring, so what revived it?

ูคูก. ุฃูŽู†ุชูŽ ุงู„ุฑูŽุจูŠุน ูˆูŽูƒูŽูŠู ูŠูŽุญูŠุง ู…ูŽูˆุถูุน
ุบูŠุฑ ุงู„ุฑูŽุจูŠุน ุจูู‡ู ููŽู…ุง ุฃูŽุญูŠุงู‡ู

42. Whoeverโ€™s conduct is like the son of Imamate
Success and victory will envelop him

43. A sword that has a blade in the edge of his face
A face that if all faces sought refuge, they would resort to it

ูคูฃ. ุณูŽูŠู ู„ูŽู‡ู ููŠ ูˆูŽุฌู‡ู ุดูุฑุฉ ูˆูŽุฌู‡ูู‡ู
ูˆูŽุฌู‡ ุฅูุฐุง ูƒูู„ู‘ู ุงู„ูˆุฌูˆู‡ู ู„ูŽุฌุงู‡ู

44. He did not say โ€œnoโ€ since he existed except his saying
โ€œThere is no god but Heโ€ at the time of testification

ุนูู†ุฏูŽ ุงู„ุดูŽู‡ุงุฏูŽุฉู ู„ุง ุฅูู„ูŽู‡ ุณููˆุงู‡ู

45. And I had decided on departure, so if the fulfillment
Of his guardianโ€™s order willed it, he would fulfill it

46. And indeed I knew that my death to him
Is a jest that transcends life next to others

ู‡ูŽุฒูŽู„ุงู‹ ูŠูŽููˆู‚ ุงู„ุนูŽูŠุด ุนู†ุฏ ุณููˆุงู‡ู

47. But winter has come and next to him are
Those whose home Tihama will be

ูคูง. ู„ููƒูู†ู‘ูŽู‡ู ู‡ูŽุฌูŽู…ูŽ ุงู„ุดูุชุงุก ูˆูŽุนูู†ุฏูŽู‡ู
ู…ูู…ู‘ูŽู† ุชูŽูƒูˆู† ุชูู‡ุงู…ูŽุฉ ู…ูŽุซูˆุงู‡ู

48. Oh you, the king whom I did not live
A foot away from my peopleโ€™s land but for him

49. Is it permissible for me to complain of straitened livelihood
While wealth is humiliated next to you and prestige?

50. One who does as he wills with his opinion
And his hand, not by the hand of another

51. And likewise the lionโ€™s claws in anotherโ€™s hand
Roar and the cares freely range in its prosperity

52. A pen whose nature death and demise
In it is its poison and its remedy
