من لا مني لو أنه قد أبصرا

1. He who has no experience of what I feel, if he could but see
What I have tasted he would wander distracted and lost.

١. مَنْ لاَ مِني لوْ أنه قد أبصَرا
مَا ذقته أضْحى به متَحيرا

2. And in the morning he would say to his friends, “If you
Deny what has happened to me, you deny what is plain to see.”

٢. وَغدا يَقولُ لِصحبه إِن أنتُمو
أنكرتُموا مَا بي أتيتمْ مُنكرا

3. The affairs of the tribe have strayed from their usual ways;
So for that they call it witchcraft and charge me falsely.

٣. شَذت أمُورُ القوم عن عَاداتِهم
فَلأجل ذاك يقال سحر مُفترى
