1. The apple trees bloomed in bitter soil
As if they were by the Basin of Abundance
١. نبت الأَفاح بأرض مر
جان بحوض الكوثر
2. Or had kissed the flowers of meadows
And poppies of Ibn Mundhir
٢. أم قبلت زهر الريا
ض شقائق ابن المنذر
3. Or had gathered around the slender one
Armies of pure essence
٣. أم رابطت ثغر العقي
ق عساكر من جوهر
