1. And destruction made clear lines upon it,
Whose expressions show each home will crumble,
١. وَأَبدى البِلى فيها سُطوراً مُبينَةً
عِباراتُها أَن كُلُّ بَيتٍ سَيَدثُرُ
2. I stood with my friends, yet its foundation
Still shakes with my tears and sighs of sorrow.
٢. وَقَفتُ بِها صَحبي فَظَلَّت عِراصُها
بِدَمعي وَأَنفاسي تُراحُ وَتُمطَرُ
