1. By my life! If you are above a towering,
Long grave, winds blowing on you with rain,
2. You lived with open hands, prominent,
And avoided in death the squeeze of the grave.
3. You escaped from the earth's narrowness and gloom
And did not lose the world, so do you have any gratitude?
4. My eyes will never have their fill of constant weeping
For you, even if I wept until the Resurrection.
5. Blessed is he who weeps for his brother openly,
But I weep for your loss in secret.
