١. ما لُمتُ حَمّاداً عَلى فِسقِهِ
يَلومُهُ الجاهِلُ وَالمائِقُ
2. He threw them away from his bed and pillow,
Their Maker made him own them both,
٢. رَماهُمُ مِن أَيرِهِ وَاِستِهِ
مَلَّكَهُ إِيّاهُما الخالِقُ
3. None but the debauched lie above him,
Or the debauched lie beneath.
٣. ما باتَ إِلا فَوقَهُ فاسِقٌ
يَنيكُهُ أَو تَحتَهُ فاسِقُ
