1. When we met the beloved, her charm so captivated me
That I was raised above all else, to the sublime heights

As well as Washya and thousands more, shining brightly

3. Say to Yazid, who tastes honey in solitude:
We have, without him, a thriving market near the Caliph

4. You have slept, so sleep on, o son of an evil woman!
For these are acts of nobility, beyond the grasp of a thief

5. A lineage of excellence refused you, though you wished
To be called generous, while your head remained shaved
