1. The light shone brightly on the auspicious side
Its verses the bright moon recited and glorified

2. A light that illuminated the two horizons and exceeded
Its flags guidance to the highest peaks

3. The flag of prophethood shone in its loftiness
So the deviant demons retreated, defeated

4. And the flags of Chosroes cracked in awe
When Ahmad's light shone like never before

5. A day as if time had dismounted its stallion
Yesterday and tomorrow equally enthralled

6. O flag raised with your light to give guidance
The world shines in your glow more perfect

7. O elite of honorable messengers and seal of the prophets
O best of creation, cradle of sublime virtues

8. You were sent with the clear light to the world
A blessing from the Merciful, excelling in grace

9. With it the Merciful guides whom He wills to guidance
And lets astray whoever takes misguidance as refuge

10. O truthful, righteous, trusted in his faith
With the revelation from your Lord descending from the Most High

11. If they deny you, your truth is evident
The Merciful guides to it the deaf and blind

12. Or if they let you down, your Lord is your supporter
And the angels of the Merciful surround you

13. And sufficed you against the harm of scoffers, so they became
Examples for people and spent the night defeated

14. You call to the Merciful with confident invocation
And defend the basin of Shariah alone

15. You soften your words avoiding bluntness
And give generously with goodwill

16. You pardon abundantly with graceful forgiveness
Magnanimity, nobility and favor

17. The signs of your Lord remain supporting you
As an ally for whoever soundly comprehends

18. And blessed you with the Ascension, perfect favor
When by His grace you ascended above the Most High

19. And showed you signs, His light manifested
So by which of them did they disbelieve and seek refuge

20. You abandoned the home of polytheism with hopeful estrangement
An imminent opening that came to you gloriously declaring

21. You united the two Aus and Khazraj tribes so they became
Two spirits in one body seeking contemplation

22. Justice is spirit and Shariah is method
Dominating the horizons of the world ultimately

23. You perfected sublime virtues so you reached
Above the heights among the sublime traits an abode

24. And saw the fate of the disbelieving people
And likewise whoever loses guidance or is misguided

25. You demolished the edifice of their building so they collapsed
And left them lessons behind you troubled

26. With the flag of consultation you erected pillars
For the religion guiding whoever sought understanding

27. So by what can they stubbornly disbelieve
Or what answer can their respondent give, excusing

28. If they burn your eternal constitution or
Seek corruption in the land, most immoral

29. For Allah your Lord has protected it with His preservation
And Allah is the best of preservers against violation

30. To foil the scheming of mischief-makers so whenever
They thought it dawn, they saw it as night, a prolonged night

31. The procession marching to its loftiness
Will remain the highest of both worlds and the superior
