1. Ramadan has come, extending the robe of piety,
For those who respond with righteous deeds.

2. The devils of temptation have been shackled,
Donning the garb of disgrace and hastened to punishment.

3. The Lord of mankind has called you, so seek His pardon
And ask Him that you may attain the best reward.

4. Verily miserable is he who is submissive yet unaware
Of the outcome he will face on the Day of Gathering.

5. He persists in sins, unwilling to desist,
Unaware that worldly life is but a fleeting mirage.

6. Surrender your heart to the Lord of mankind, draw near to Him,
For Allah grants goodness without being asked.

7. Souls become pure for their Lord, adorned
With light of faith and reverence.

8. They rise above desires throughout the day,
Patience being their armor and best resort.

9. Those fasting, praying, bowing,
Prostrating to Your Exalted Lord.

10. Devoted to virtues and piety,
Forsaking the vileness of all dispositions.

11. So seize from deeds their righteous ones, for nothing
Remains for the seizer except deeds.

12. No life of luxury in this world lasts for its people,
For its comforts, however long, are bound to decline.

13. But lasting righteous deeds are the most noble things
The soul aspires to after struggles.

14. The scales of justice from the Lord of the Throne will be set up,
By His command all difficulties will be solved.

15. Mercy descends from His favors,
And righteousness connects to the hopeful.

16. Rejoice if you flee to Him or
Restrain yourself from shameful deeds.

17. A light has shaded its regions,
So expect from it the finest union.

18. Good fortune and blessings fill its directions,
Favor is hoped for by the hopeful.

19. On the Night of Ordainment, He called out in it,
The best of speech, a revelation from the Lord of the Throne.

20. He called out in it the Trustworthy Spirit to Muhammad,
To spread the light of truth after misguidance.

21. So show humility to your Lord and seek His help against
That which you have suffered of perils and fears.

22. For every distress your Lord has an outlet,
And for each sin, your Lord’s pardon is hoped for.
