11. And lean, bony bodies
Exposed with no respite

12. To poverty and famine, like fruitless sticks
Withered by winds blown and scattered

13. Whenever he turns to them
His eyes shoot out sparks

14. And his heart fills with grief
His soul gripped in torment

15. Melancholy besets him
Bitter and bitter the news

16. He calls to the boys of destitution
Boys of insomnia and vigil

17. Verily he who's miserable
Is in the charge of fate

18. A scene of saddening scenes
Pitiful traces

19. Woe to him, no cheer
Brightens his dreary face

20. Distracted, no revelry
Or night talk involve him

21. The soul touches his misery
When it despairs and crumbles

22. These cycles and fables
Are not for whom they don't warn

23. Why is there none like them
That I follow but am stopped?

24. And what's in their precincts
Is no deceitful tale

25. With empty heart drowned
In pleasures and cheer

26. While I, prey to afflictions
Burn in agony and pain

27. Misfortunes have accustomed me
Troops quickening their pace

28. A scene of saddening scenes
Pitiful traces

29. Oh wealthy man with riches
Be kind, do not disdain

30. A man is but his deeds
And what he does for others

31. In you lies what lies in him
Of tendencies and nature

32. Of bones and blood
Of dreams and thoughts

33. He has feelings after all
