Of what it bestows

28. Falling stars deny it
What they behold

29. It lives without purpose
Yet all is purpose

So veils descend

31. The body confines it
So it tosses and turns

that it is tired

33. All of mankind
Are stakes before it

34. Wood propped
With kindling behind

35. This one has a head
That one has a tail

36. Corpses that war
And woe have harmed

37. Corpses whose flesh
Was seized from them

38. And if death
And disease miss them

39. While the earth gapes
Wanting them to fill it

40. And the soul clamors
And the fire blazes

41. And the body draws near
And fate awaits

42. So some are sparks
And some are flames

And some are wood

Is what you see as soil

that it is tired

46. But I have an example
And a purpose higher

47. With this, I charm it
And it melts with desire

48. For it is a heart
Pleased and joyful

Delights me

50. Our life ended
And our time ran out

51. All is futility
And all is strange

A higher example

53. Virtue, generosity
Manners and grace

54. God is my example
And eternity my quest
