1. April, O soul of hearts
And temptation of the fertile quarter

2. Bringer of the distant past
And banisher of the near day

3. Stirrer of sweet memories
Shining in my wondrous heart

4. Flowing enchantingly in thoughts
Melting gently as it flows

5. What can I say? A poet?
A lover? In your meadows which?

6. April, what is this beauty
Streaming perfectly and purely?

7. The flowers dance
To the nightingale's song

8. The grass, green as purity
As shyness, as an erudite

9. Swaying in the breeze's chill
Coming and going

10. Melting in the dew's wine
Reviving from its melting

11. So hearts are its cups
And cups are its hearts

12. The sun in the sky's bosom
Shines with wondrous light

13. And illuminates the countryside
No gloom, no pallor

14. And pours in the dawn's glow
And melts in twilight's dusk

15. So hopes appear at times
And fade away at others

16. April, what is this spring
Overflowing, never depleted

17. With beauty, joy and bliss
Permitted and wondrous

18. The branch inclines at morn
And eve over the hillock

19. The poet inclines over nature
The lover over the beloved

20. The breeze kisses the blossom
No doubts or misgivings

21. The birds cheer his ears
No sobbing saddens him

22. The breezes' falcons revive
The withered flowers

23. So nature and life here
Are harmonious and pure

24. And peace reigns, no harm
No wolf to lamb

25. Happiness and tranquility
Life is good here

26. April, why do you stir me
April, strength of hearts?

27. April, my soul is healed
By your wondrous thing

28. April, and abundant joy
Foams in its goblets

29. April, and great hope
Melts in its features

30. April, and the tormented heart
Burns in its wings

31. April, are you ours?
April, why no reply?
