Who filled the squares with revolutionaries?

2. When did this flood gather downhill
Flowing abundantly from every corner in Egypt?

3. Who composed in the square an epic
Of youth pouring out prose and poetry?

4. Who composed it until it became a language
On lips and in minds ideas?

5. How did it mobilize an army with no weapons
That didn't shake a sword at tyranny attacking?

6. It only shook the outstretched hands of the generation
And the generation's chanting roar

7. It only shook expressive chants
Objecting and denying with feelings

8. An army that when it saw a tank roar
Threw flowers to it screaming Allahu Akbar

9. Its weapon was a notebook or a banner that warned
The unjust with letters

10. Even the phrases were not authored
Or standardized by the eloquent

11. Who led the great army and who
Drove it in Tahrir Square rivers?

12. How did it come to the squares bearing
The harshest suffering with determination and insistence?

13. A flood of questions overwhelms my rhyme
My mind and heart still race

14. Where is the answer? The answer was only
Those millions who came to wipe away the shame

15. An army of the people, that didn't fire
A shot at anyone or spend a dollar on weapons

16. It doesn't have in the sea waters a warship
Skilled in diving deep in the waves

17. It doesn't have in the air a fighter jet
Raining down strikes pouring

18. But it was gathered in the square
Roaring and clamoring like raging waves

19. Nothing moved the people except injustice when
The tyrants built walls in front of the people

20. And when they wasted the rights of the weak
Spilling them at the doors of their deprivation

21. And when they ate honey and fruit
While feeding the people rocks of rationing

22. And when from their evil intention they made
From every trunk of justice, a saw

23. And when on the walls of their tyranny they hammered
For every hand seeking truth, a nail

24. When the people saw the oppressors refused
To grant them even a fraction of justice

25. They didn't satisfy or quench their thirst
Or help them build a house

26. When they saw them as hearts devoid of feeling
Turned to stones soaked in hatred

27. It threw its strength into Tahrir Square
Of youth who were never given their due

28. They called and called, and when they saw no one
Remove the burdens from the human's shoulders

29. They said to those underestimating them
If you're wind, you have met a storm
