3. I watered from you the flowers of my memory,
So they shone, and the blossoms shone.

4. And I asked about my dawn so
The light rushed to me from you, for you are the dawn.

5. I asked the clouds about you so they smiled
With lightning, and said: you are the rain.

6. When you flowed through my pen
The letters tightened, and the ink sang.

7. O guest of all Muslims when
You came, intimacy and good news came.

8. With you the soul rises honored
By fasting in you, and the chest relaxes.

9. O guest of all Muslims, for him
In every believing heart, there is esteem.

10. The weak grow stronger with what they see
Of your fasters, so patience prevails.

11. The wealthy feel during you what
The hungry complain of, and poverty manufactures.

12. You become, their guide to
Generosity, so there is no excuse.

13. The arrogant humble themselves, when
They truly fast you, pride disappears.

14. O guest of hearts that rejoiced with you
So feelings and thoughts shone.

15. O guest of my heart, you are in my language
The secret of eloquence, and rememberance in my mouth.

16. You extend in my heart and veins
When you come, your green branches.

17. A guest beautiful of face whose rising
Is a moon that illuminates, and stars blossom.

18. “Ramadan” - its letters are beloved
To which prose and poetry incline.

19. When I line them on my paper
Delight blooms, the line flowers.

20. A month when it comes, accompanying it
Is security of hearts, and fear departs.

21. In its fast, and its vigil a
Sweet fatigue, with which reward magnifies.

22. And the silence of servants’ mouths when
They upheld the fast, as if it were perfume.

23. The one who fasts it wins with two joys
“Meeting God” and “breakfast”.

24. God is uniquely granting
To the fasters, and with Him is abundance.

25. “Ramadan” - a splendid name noble
In its majesty the ages speak of.

26. Its night suffices it, which was ennobled
In value, by its virtue the ten shine.

27. The station of the fasters rises, when
The path is set up, and the gathering approaches.

28. The gate of Rayyan awaits them
For God - this honor and pride.

29. O guest of hanging hearts
With God, with Him sorrow is mended.

30. O guest of my innermost and its companion
O you whose secret improves clamor.

31. The months remain in its brilliance
Passing, while you are the master month.
