1. With tranquility of heart, life is sweet,
And overflows with great love, hearts are full.

2. Like the sun whose radiance disperses darkness,
Horizons are darkened when it sets.

3. In the heart is the scale of worshipers, so if it leans rightly,
Life is pure, and the distant becomes near.

4. And if it congeals with grudges and desires,
The heart becomes "an empty cup" overturned.

5. I say to everyone who has
Something that troubles its purity:

6. This world is but a swing,
In it for people are stumbling and clothing.

7. Our measure in it is our law that
Answers the questioners when asked.

8. And patience in it is a boat, no matter how high
A wave rises, it keeps plowing through and sailing.

9. If people say to you an unjust word,
The word with our God is recorded.

10. Never despair of an arrogant slanderer,
For the slanderer is the defeated one.

11. Leave alone those whose smiles come with
Malice, their tongues dripping poison.

12. And look to the best of worshipers, Muhammad,
How much did he get from his people of rebuke!

13. They insulted him to the point of his honor,
And threw stones at him, yet he is the honored beloved one.

14. Two types it is hard to please,
No matter how you try: the envious and the liar.

15. I say, and in my poem's veins is
Hope and a voice of loyalty:

16. O you who wear the scholar's turban,
That trust, and God is watchful.

17. Bring together the dispersed, we are in a world
Whose paths have diverted it from the straight path.

18. Around you, people, are a thousand spears
Thrown by corruption and alienation.

19. And around you from sanctimony and extremism is
A fire with blazes in minds.

20. So until when will the infighting amongst you remain?
And until when will the oppressed sigh?

21. Knowledge is the legacy of prophecy and guidance,
And its people have morals and dignity.

22. They are the role model for generations, so which
Generation takes as its role model one who barks in dissent?

23. No good is knowledge if unrestrained
By a mind, and if a sensible one does not tend to it.

24. How much in life, its history and present,
Is there of a scholar, yet his conscience perforated!

25. How can abundant knowledge benefit a youth
While his heart from wisdom is blocked?!

26. In Islam's curriculum is honing of our souls,
And to it in events we return.

27. So if we succeed, success is the goal,
How fortunate is man when he gets it right!

28. And if we stumble on the rope of a sin
One day, then to God we repent.

29. We ask forgiveness of God Almighty, for He
Glorified is the Forgiver when we groan plaintively.

30. With His pardon souls rise and life's face glows,
And correcting our course is laudable.

31. O you who wear the turban of a scholar,
Do not let the assumption of the worshipers be disappointed.

32. To us the icy peaks appear high towers,
But under the sun's rays they melt.
