1. By You, O Allah, we entered upon the morning
With faith and belief in Your favor to encompass us

2. By You, O Allah, we entered upon hearts
That yearn for their Lord in life and in religion

3. By You, O Allah, we entered as we washed away
Every worry that afflicts us with Your remembrance

4. We planted our day with the remembrance like a planting
So what could be sweeter than the fruits for us planters

5. We reaped dates and pomegranates from it
And attained the best of grapes and figs from it

6. By You, O Allah, we entered upon souls
And hearts that love the righteous

7. We found comfort in the self when
We greeted the morning glorifying

8. We remembered Allah so flowers smiled
And sent hidden fragrances wafting

9. And bulbuls repeated the remembrance of my Lord
With melodies on the branches of our orchard

10. We saw the birds become silent after
They had their fill and their bellies were full

11. We saw the horizon smiling radiantly
With the bright smile when it appeared to please us

12. We saw the sun weaving for the meadows
Strands of its rays like a precious crown

13. By You, O Allah, we entered and stood
Humbled before the majesty of Your countenance

14. We drank from the spring of remembrance until
We felt pleased by what quenched us

15. And we embraced the vast open space when
We prostrated to the All-Mighty humbly

16. By You, O Allah, we entered and found
The warbling hope that we came across

17. We hope in You for great hopes
We attach to You a humble heart

18. By You, O Allah, we entered and lived
A radiant certainty that dispels suspicions

19. And the muezzin delighted us when he called
A call that pours faith into us

20. Give us comfort Bilal, may I ransom you
O seal of the Messengers

21. We took guidance from your noble path
And strode with determination to fulfill

22. We sought the greatest comfort so it overflowed
Upon us bowing down and prostrating

23. By You, O Allah, we entered upon hearts
That see their Lord as the firm pillar

24. We were elevated through prostration to a
Lofty station of radiant significance and strength

25. And the greatest elevation a people may have
Is when they place their brows down in praise

26. By You, O Allah, we entered, and will remain
Like the warbling of bulbuls wherever we live
