1. O people of journalism, minds have gone astray,
And from rubbish, cups have been harmed.

2. Among you there are pens that belong,
Only to violence and terrorism.

3. Trumpets of globalization and secularism, for which
We hinder evil and blame among us.

4. A biased writer sneaks among you,
Arrogant, and a lying correspondent.

5. If they see the face of conflict in your condition,
They attend, and if harmony appears, they are absent.

6. They see only the ugly, and flies
Plunge into the swamps.

7. Principles and virtues complain about what they see
From them, and the veil complains about what it sees.

8. For enjoining good, they have a bloody dagger,
Public cursing and insulting.

9. And for every virtuous woman,
They have conspiring, attacking arrows.

10. And for every scholar of Sharia,
They have a manifest, doubting enemy.

11. They harmonize like the cats that
Hiss when their tails are trodden on.

12. Among you, O people of journalism, are those who recoil
When the meteors of certainty flare.

13. As if they are bats waiting for darkness
To fly when eyelids close.

14. Their eyes have darkened towards the West, so
No rising radiant East tempts them.

15. And sometimes the mask is removed, because
He is rewarded for his deception.

16. Being content with one line from you
Hurts the feelings of your religion, how strange!

17. If hurting feelings becomes the goal,
Then reason has disappeared, and rightness has flown.

18. O people of journalism, brightness has its gloom
One day, and evil action has punishment.

19. So restrain those who have sneaked in
And climbed until the prayer niche complained.

20. How can a rebellious writer
Melt claims of misguidance in his ink?

21. And many a faithful letter you have built
The peaks of loyalty with, and opened doors.

22. Not equal in the garden are a warbling bird
And a hooting owl and crow.

23. O people of journalism, we have not lost among you
Those who were devoted to their God and repented,

24. Who opened pens to spread guidance,
And when minds were confused, were correct.

25. They erected Islam’s greatest tent,
To which pegs and ropes were tied.

26. They carried it with true faith and love,
Through certainty, causes are connected.

27. Those who held to His book have profited,
While those who abandoned it have failed.
