1. O you who troubles my life
Nothing is sweeter than a wretched life
١. أَيا مَنْ تَخَبَّثَ عَيْشي بِهِ
وما طَيِّبُ العَيْشِ مِثلُ الخَبيثِ
2. My passion's excess burdens me
Is there any helper in your denial of me?
٢. يُكَلِّفُني فَرْطُ وَجْدِي الهَوى
وَهَلْ في جُحُودِكَ لي مِنْ مُغِيثِ
3. By God, you know it
Why then do you tarnish the face of discourse?
٣. وَوَاللَهِ إِنَّك تَدْري بِهِ
فَلمْ ذَا تُخَدِّشُ وَجهَ الحَديثِ
