1. Our days envied us when we met
So they arbitrarily cast us asunder
١. حَسَدَتْنا أَيَّامُنا بِالتَّلاقي
فَرَمَتْنَا تَعَسُّفاً بِالفِراقِ
2. We did not want to part, it was not our doing
God has brought relief through reunion after separation
٢. مَا أَرَدْنا الفِراقَ لا كانَ مِنَّا
أَشْمَتَ اللَهُ بِالفِراقِ التَّلاقي
