1. Intoxicated with the wine of youth,
And gentler in nature than a breeze,
١. نَشْوانُ مِنْ خَمْرِ الصِّبا
وَأَرَقُّ طَبْعاً مِنْ نَسِيمِ
2. The water of beauty is his drink,
And luxury is his nourishment.
٢. مَاءُ الدَّلالِ شَرابُهُ
وَغِذَاؤُهُ تَرَفُ النَّعِيمِ
3. My passion for him grows in love,
For he is the keeper of my affection.
٣. أَضْحى غَرَامِي في هَوَا
هُ عَلَى مَحَبَّتِهِ غَرِيمِي
4. When I describe the grace of his body,
I revel in depicting sheer delight.
٤. وَوَصَفْتُ نِعْمَةَ جِسْمِهِ
فَنَعِمْتُ في صِفَةِ النَّعِيمِ
