1. A girl like flaming fire
Her palms nearly catch aflame
١. وبِنت كَرمٍ كأَنَّهاَ لَهَبُ
تكادُ مِنها الأَكُفُّ تَلْتَهِبُ
2. She plays in her cup when mixed
As if provoking her is a delight
٢. تلعبُ في كأسها إِذا مُزِجتْ
كأَنَّما يستفزُّها طَرَبُ
3. In the wide bowl as she mixes it
A sky of pure gold its stars
٣. في عَرْصَةِ الكأْس حين تمزجُها
سماءُ تبرٍ نجومُها ذهبُ
