١. يا شَمْسَ حُسْنٍ أَشْرَقَتْ
مِنْ فَوْقِ غُصْنٍ مِنْ لُجَيْنِ
2. Look upon the shining moon
When it appears between the Pleiades,
٢. اُنْظُرْ إِلى البَدْرِ المُنِي
فِ إِذا بَدَا في الفَرْقَدَيْنِ
3. And it has overwhelmed me more than
The maiden's passion for al-Husayn.
٣. وَلَهِي عَلَيْهِ أَشَدُّ مِنْ
وَلَهِ البَتُولِ عَلَى الحُسَيْنِ
