1. My status is the highest disgrace throughout time
Or is it the era of my glory whenever my pigeons coo?

2. The heights of my ambition grew white after
My liver melted in agony from the intensity of my troubles

3. The vicissitudes of fate almost erased my image
Due to the confusion of my thoughts and denial of my goals

4. And my weakness when I criticize my peers
I find them looking down on my status

5. If the days afflicted and violated me for long
Oh, the profit of my horror and the loss of my peace

6. I did not know fate was unfaithful by nature
I slipped, and here are my feet in the dust

7. The lamb of the house paid me a visit after being absent
When longing seized me and obsessed me

8. Nothing has changed except
Toys that can almost melt my bones

9. If my time comes, O lamb, and I do not find
A neighbor from the days to stand by me

10. I lamented woe in the name of Ahmed who will
Be the best imam to the world’s calamities

11. The most fragrant myrrh, rather a sent prophet
Honorable, generous, glorious and noble

12. The critics will not discourage his favors
But the praiser praises his favors

13. He forever comes to the aid of the helpless
And never stops enriching the impoverished

14. If one day his righteous tribe
Builds an all-encompassing house of high clouds

15. No - by the One who traveled with him at night
From the Sacred Place to the Most High Station

16. My soul desires no one but him
To drive away harm or bring beneficial growth

17. Rather, I see no one but the Prophet Muhammad
When my mind wanders confused

18. O the most honorable of messengers, the best
Of God's creations, the manifestation of Islam

19. I complain to you of these times; its fluctuations
Have weakened me and did not cease to challenge me
