1. While the weather was so pleasant and clear
Bringing joy and serenity to the soul

2. The open air was blowing playfully
Among the swaying branches so gentle

3. And the fountain's waters were flowing in the morning
Among the trees of the garden like strands

4. The rays of sunshine emanating
Like beams of light, long and bright

5. Suddenly we were struck by a storm
With thick darkness from the sands

6. And a whistling like the blowing of a horn
Announcing the demise of this world

7. With lightning that showered us with sparks
Enormous like a palace or yellow camels

8. And thunder that startled the people
Over the wreckage they gathered and their families

9. It was intense like a scream
Or mountains colliding with mountains

10. A calamity - the weather had become for it
An evil battlefield of evil fighting

11. It carried whatever it encountered in its path
Of possessions that it crushed and ruined

12. If only those who saw it, deluded
By nature's beauty, had remembered God

13. Who created it, exceeding in His making
The limits of perfection, Glorious and Sublime

14. Be reassured and leave the matter to Him
Who created the universe, Exalted be His Majesty
