1. Nor did Ja'far fear that his debauchery
Would strike her with greater woes than I.

2. Neither the day of Buwayn when the spears drank deep,
Nor the fire itself, had it been cast upon them.

3. Her foes knew well that Ja'far
Would ward off Ja'far however the keen swords smote.

ูุช ุฃูุนุฏุงุคููุง ุฃูููู ุฌูุนููุฑุงู
ูููู ุฌูุนููุฑุงู ุญูุฏูู ุงูุณููููู ุธูููุฑููุง
4. Can the whelps of Ja'far bear with patience
The onslaught of him whose cubs are lions?
ูค. ุฃูุชูุตุจูุฑู ูููุนุงุฏู ุถูุบุงุจูุซู ุฌูุนููุฑู
ููุซููุฑูุฉู ุฐู ุงูุฃูุดุจุงูู ุญููู ููุซูุฑููุง
5. Soon shall Ja'far attain the goal
Of her who was wronged, even to Tuhรกma's sands.

6. When Ja'far passed the ridge of Al-Himรก
The tombs cried out to him till he answered.

ูุฑููุช ุนููู ููุถุจูุฉู ุงูุญูู
ู
ุชููููููุนู ุฅูุฐ ุตุงุญูุช ุฅูููููุง ููุจูุฑููุง
7. Ours are the Holy Mosques twain, and the Kaaba moot,
And theirs but names which we have made the greater.

8. Save God alone! He has no likeness,
To Him belong the nations of the absent past.

9. The Imam of the Faith! How many a sire and brother
Has he whose light once lit the broad earth!

10. When the East and West have met from every side
In some consecrated place where all concerns are thine.

11. Man shot his arrows at the people of Tamm, but I see not
That hatred of Tamm can harm his people.

12. Had Mother-of-Men Eve attacked
Tamm ibn Murr not a protector could she find.

13. The Lord of the Heaven built our House and exalted it,
And in the Earth made oceans flow from our Bahrayn.

ูููู ุงูุฃูุฑุถู ู
ูู ุจูุญุฑู ุชูููุถู ุจูุญูุฑููุง
14. And I was told that Ja'far raged in his bastardy
As the Thamรบd in their subversive work.

15. They cry aloud beseeching drink of him,
When on them from es-Shi'rรก the dust-storms lowered.

ููู ุงูุดูุนุฑู ุงูุชูุฑุงุจู ุญูุฑูุฑููุง
16. They turn aside from womankind whose eyes
Are hapless and downcast for that the times are evil.
