وأرعن جرار إذا ما تطلقت

1. And the neighing of a stallion when his
Regiments were dispersed, the jinn did obeisance before him

١. وَأَرعَنَ جَرّارٍ إِذا ما تَطَلَّقَت
كَتائِبُهُ خَرَّت لَهُ الجِنُّ سُجَّدا

2. He has a star the sun sets shyly by
In it you see the sons of fate humbled

٢. لَهُ كَوكَبٌ تَعشى بِهِ الشَمسُ واضِحاً
تَرى فيهِ أَبناءَ المَنِيَّةِ رُوَّدا

3. The father of cubs leads the steeds of his herd
To the abode of death, uncovered and accustomed

٣. يَقودُ أَبو الأَشبالِ رَيعانَ خَيلِهِ
بِدارِ المَنايا بادِياتٍ وَعُوَّدا

4. To every pliant neck of a bridle, unkindled
They are led forth against the foe two by two and alone

٤. عَلى كُلِّ مِذعانِ السُرى غَيرِ مُجمِرٍ
تُقادُ إِلى الأَعداءِ مَثنىً وَمَوحَدا
