1. O Sa'eed, may God water a grave that contains
On its sides shrouds over you, their clothes,

2. And a dug out home where you lie cushioned
With its door shut against all return.

3. A land at As'ikhr has held a noble corpse
When the clouds pour down their burdens.

4. Mighty over the lowly near you when the sands
Of the waste enshroud you in their veil.

5. To weep for you, Sa'eed, a nursing mother
Of five orphans, her only drink their tears,

6. When my eyes remember Sa'eed they brim over
With streaming tears they begin to pour.
