فتحت لهم حتى فككت قيودهم

1. You opened for them till you unshackled their chains
Bridges of those who used to be impassable bridges before you

١. فَتَحتَ لَهُم حَتّى فَكَكتَ قُيودَهُم
قَناطِرَ مَن قَد كانَ قَبلَكَ قَنطَرا

2. And they are not like the bridges built by giants which turned
The bodies of ships away from the bridge, always swerving

٢. وَلَيسَت كَما تَبني العُلوجُ وَحَوَّلَت
عَنِ الجِسرِ أَبدانُ السَفينِ المُقَيَّرا

3. Some white Lujiani and some yellow Heraclean
From the strikes of Caesar, inclining from side to side

٣. لُجَينِيَّةً بيضاً وَمَيّالَةَ العُرى
هِرَقلِيَّةً صَفراءَ مِن ضَربِ قَيصَرا

4. You undertook what had confounded Ibn Harb before, and his father,
The resolute, selective one, you undertook

٤. تَناوَلتَ ما أَعيا اِبنَ حَربٍ وَقَبلَهُ
وَأَعيا أَباكَ الحازِمَ المُتَخَيَّرا

5. That which had confounded Al-Walid and after him
Suleiman, among those who were most capable in Rome

٥. وَما كانَ قَد أَعيا الوَليدَ وَبَعدَهُ
سُلَيمانَ مِمَّن كانَ في الرومِ أَعصَرا

6. And Abu Hafs it confounded, so you broke for them
In the markets the iron shackles, all nailed

٦. وَأَعيا أَبا حَفصٍ فَكَسَّرتَ عَنهُمُ
عَلى أَسوُقٍ أَسرى الحَديدَ المُسَمَّرا

7. For had it not been for the one in whom there is no good among people after him
By him God killed the one who was a plotter

٧. فَلَولا الَّذي لا خَيرَ في الناسِ بَعدَهُ
بِهِ قَتَلَ اللَهُ الَّذي كانَ خَبَّرا

8. By him God destroyed the Mazons and whoever strove
Towards them, as He destroyed the giants

٨. بِهِ دَمَّرَ اللَهُ المَزونَ وَمَن سَعى
إِلَيهِم كَما كانَ الفَراعينَ دَمَّرا

9. And the people of earth were gathered by
God's hand, and the blind, sick one gained sight

٩. وَأَصبَحَ أَهلُ الأَرضِ قَد جَمَعَتهُمُ
يَدُ اللَهِ وَالأَعمى المَريضَ فَأَبصَرا

10. To the best of the people of earth in mother, and their best
In father and brother, except for the Prophet and his supporter

١٠. إِلى خَيرِ أَهلِ الأَرضِ أُمّاً وَخَيرِهِم
أَباً وَأَخاً إِلّا النَبِيَّ وَعُنصُرا

11. I will praise the best of creation, by whom
Upon people, the rain clouds poured forth rain

١١. سَأَثني عَلى خَيرِ البَرِيَّةِ وَالَّذي
عَلى الناسِ ناءَ الغَيثُ مِنهُ فَأَمطَرا

12. I see God place in your palms a mercy
Upon people, filling the earth with water gushing forth

١٢. أَرى اللَهَ في كَفَّيكَ أَرسَلَ رَحمَةً
عَلى الناسِ مِلءَ الأَرضِ ماءً مُفَجَّرا

13. A nursling of kings in inheritances which have not ceased
To have a king, that if one dies, he hands over the pulpit

١٣. رَبيبُ مُلوكٍ في مَواريثَ لَم يَزَل
بِها مَلِكٌ إِن ماتَ أَورَثَ مِنبَرا

14. You built that which gave life to Solomon and his son
And David and the jinn that were subjugated

١٤. بَنَيتَ الَّذي أَحيا سُلَيمانَ وَاِبنَهُ
وَداوُدَ وَالجِنَّ الَّذي كانَ سَخَّرا

15. So it has become an eternal bridge, which when
It pounds the barrier of Gog and Magog, makes it collapse

١٥. فَأَصبَحَ جِسراً خالِداً وَيَدُكُّهُ
إِذا دَكَّ عَن يَأجوجَ رَدماً فَنَشَّرا

16. By His power, God, who is the Sender
Of His servants from His creation when He dispersed them

١٦. بِقُوَّتِهِ اللَهُ الَّذي هُوَ باعِثٌ
عِباداً لَهُ مِن خَلقِهِ حينَ نَشَّرا
