2. Two dead whom the winds blow over
Their bodies neighbors by the rivers of Wāsiṭ

3. Had they been other than Ibn Wael's sons
Their blood would have weighed heavy on their killer

4. Two youths who attained what Mismar attained
Their beards not yet grown at youth

5. Had Mālik and Ibn Mālik been alive
They would have lit two great fires for them

6. Had other than Azd's hands reached their remains
Their graves would not have been despoiled by Azd
