1. Islam wept from its scholars
Yet they did not care for what they saw of its weeping
١. بَكى شَجوَهُ الإِسلامُ مِن عُلَمائِهِ
فَما اكتَرَثوا لِما رَأَوا مِن بُكائِهِ
2. For most of them consider what's right as wrong
If it opposes them, approving their mistakes
٢. فَأَكثَرُهُم مُستَقبِحٌ لِصَوابِ مَن
يُخالِفُهُ مُستَحسِنٌ لِخَطائِهِ
3. So which of them can we hope for his religion?
And which of them can we trust his innocence?
٣. فَأَيُّهُمُ المَرجُوُّ فينا لِدينِهِ
وَأَيُّهُمُ المَوثوقُ فينا بِرائِهِ
