1. Why do we not hasten what we see slipping away
When we know that we will die

2. Whoever does not befriend Allah and the messengers
Who advised him, his master is Satan

3. Our scholars see wonders among us
Yet they stay silent about what they witness

4. The life of this world destroys them when it passes
So all of them are deluded by its deception

5. And it is enough for those who aspire to passions
What passions suffice them and sustain them

6. O intermediate realm of the deceased who descended into it
So they lay asleep in its burial grounds, hidden

7. How many used to connect their rope
But later, their rope was cut off
