1. If you see what is upon you and what is for you
Then look to whom you strive and leave your wealth
١. إِن كُنتَ تُبصِرُ ما عَلَيكَ وَما لَكا
فَاِنظُر لِمَن تَسعى وَتَترُكُ مالَكا
2. And you see that calamities are many
And you see death wherever you turn
٢. وَلَقَد تَرى أَنَّ الحَوادِثَ جَمَّةٌ
وَتَرى المَنِيَّةَ حَيثُ كُنتَ حِيالَكا
3. O son of Adam, how can you hope
That opinion is your opinion and deed is your deed
٣. يا إِبنَ آدَمَ كَيفَ تَرجو أَن يَكو
نَ الرَأيُ رَأيَكَ وَالفِعالُ فِعالَكا
