1. Let the Prophet of Allah be mourned by whoever mourns,
And do not forget a grave in Medina left barren.

2. May Allah reward Muhammad for all the good from us,
For he was a guide, evidence and leader.

3. Remembrance will not flow with what he deserves,
If you forget the pure and cleansing righteousness.

4. Can you forget the Messenger of Allah, the best of all who walked,
And his traces in the two mosques as they are?

5. He was the most righteous of all people,
The most generous of home, lineage and valley.

6. After the Prophet Muhammad,
Peace of Allah be upon him, it has not stayed pure.

7. So many a minaret was made clear to us by him,
And from a flag that turned both night and day unharmed.

8. We clung to the lowly world after him
And ambitions exposed from us the smooth.

9. And we are certainly cast with a lesson every day
That we see but it only increases continuously.

10. We are delighted by a house that bequeathed us contention over it,
And a house that bequeathed us hostility.

11. When a man does not wear clothes of piety,
He tosses bare even if he was clothed.

12. My brother, despair from all the people entirely,
And live whatever you live for Allah hopeful.

13. Do you not see that Allah suffices His servants?
So sufficient for the slaves of Allah is Allah as guardian.

14. And how many soft sorrows you have not touched
From the people one day or the snakes have touched?

15. My brother, my stinginess and your stinginess refused
To be seen by one needy, a comforter from me or you.

16. We both are bellies, its exterior is clothing,
And among the people are those who sleep and wake famished.

17. It is as if we were created to remain, and which of us
And though the life of the world for him is not ephemeral?

18. Death refused except to be for whoever of creation withered,
Wherever he was, a flying particle.

19. You have decided, O death, a relieving decision,
And you have raised, O death, the crying and weeping.

20. And you have torn us, O death, all torn,
And you have acquainted us, O death, from you warnings.

21. Do not, O lengthy heedlessness, you have become forgetful,
And you have become deluded and you have become frolicsome.

22. Do we every day meet a funeral,
And every day do we hear a wailing?

23. And every day from you we eulogize for an afflicted one,
And every day we are made happy by a crying one.

24. Do not, O you who build for other than reaching it!
Do not, for the ruin of fate you have become building!

25. Do not, for the passing of life you have become collecting,
And you have become strutting, arrogant and boasting!

26. It is as if you have turned away from all that you see,
And left whom you left from you roaming.
