1. Every living being will come to death
Every living being is deceived by his life

2. Neither the small nor the great can escape the vicissitudes of fate
Alas! No one is safe, not even the great

3. How can we hope for immortality or desire life
While the graves of our ancestors lie in ruins

4. Many are the days that pass by us
The wind sweeps away their dust and it disappears

5. Among them are caring parents
A sincere brother, a loyal friend

6. A cousin, a close neighbor
A friend, a visitor, a visited one

7. What a misstep, what an error of judgement
None of us in our ignorance can be excused

8. The world has led us and created us
Surely this is but an illusion on its part
