1. O accumulator of wealth, time deceives him,
Fearing poverty, this is poverty and nothingness.
١. يا جامِعَ المالِ وَالأَيّامُ تَخدَعُهُ
خَوفاً مِنَ الفَقرِ هَذا الفَقرُ وَالعَدَمُ
2. You thought ill of God, to whom necks have submitted,
So darkness seeped into your heart.
٢. أَسَأتَ ظَنَّكَ بِاللَهِ الَّذي خَضَعَت
لَهُ الرِقابُ فَشابَت قَلبَكَ الظُلَمُ
