1. Be patient with time that has passed
And it is thus that ages have rolled along
١. اِصبِر لِدَهرٍ نالَ مِن
كَ فَهَكَذا مَضَتِ الدُهورُ
2. Joy and sorrow come in turn
Neither does sorrow last nor mirth endure
٢. فَرَحٌ وَحُزنٌ مَرَّةً
لا الحُزنُ دامَ وَلا السُرورُ
