1. O Lord, O Owner of the Throne, You are Merciful
And You know what hearts conceal, All-Knowing

2. So my Lord grant me wisdom, for I see
The wise are never regretful of being forbearing

3. And my Lord grant me resolve for piety
By which I live righteously wherever I reside

4. Indeed, piety of God is the noblest lineage
By which one is exalted among the generous when remembered

5. When you avoid people except with piety
You will depart the world unharmed and safe

6. I see you hoping for God's pardon
While persisting upon what He does not love

7. So how long will you sin and He pardon?
Blessed is my Lord, truly He is Merciful

8. Had you made the earth your pillow and settled upon it
It would not shelter you from the scorching heat

9. You preach piety while falling short
O you who heal others while sick!

10. A man who is not hoped to benefit
And not safe from harm is mean

11. A man who did not make righteousness his treasure
Though the world is his, is deficient

12. A man not distracted today from tomorrow
Fearing what it brings is wise

13. And one who feels safe from days out of ignorance
Despite having seen their ups and downs is unwise

14. The pleasures of life are false for its people
God refused to let any bliss remain

15. I humbled myself today to honor myself tomorrow
Where honor remains and lasts for me

16. Truth has proof, death has a reminder
And a lesson for both worlds timeless
