١. صَحا قَلبي وَراعَ إِلَيَّ عَقلي
وَأَقصَرَ باطِلي وَنَسيتُ جَهلي
2. I saw the maidens and they were mere images,
Who snapped my ropes and cut my tie.
٢. رَأَيتُ الغانِياتِ وَكُنَّ صوراً
إِلَيَّ صَرَمنَني وَقَطَعنَ حَبلي
