Repel this world as it has repelled
١. اِقطَعِ الدُنيا بِما اِنقَطَعَت
وَاِدفَعِ الدُنيا بِما اِندَفَعَت
2. Embrace this world when it is smooth
Leave this world when it is harsh
٢. وَاِقبَلِ الدُنيا إِذا سَلِسَت
وَاِترُكِ الدُنيا إِذا اِمتَنَعَت
3. In vain the youth seeks a livelihood
Wealth lies in contentment of the soul
٣. يَطلُبُ العَيشَ الفَتى عَبَثاً
وَالغِنى في النَفسِ إِن قَنِعَت
