1. I have seen the life and where it leads
Everything in it is small and worthless

2. Yet there is a way to escape from it
And for that the God is all-Powerful

3. He is my Lord and my sufficiency is God
So excellent is my Master and excellent my Supporter

4. What more could I want if I have shade
And food and clothing and cover?

5. It's not poverty if you're content
But one who is never content, that's the pauper
