1. I despised you, Oh you, so you weakened me,
Since I attained the bounty of your hands.
١. رَزَأتُكَ يا هَذا فَهُنتُ عَلَيكا
وَصَغَّرتَني مُذ نِلتُ فَضلَ يَدَيكا
2. And you made me desire, until I desired, thus becoming,
Because of you, hateful towards the desiring beggars.
٢. وَرَغَّبتَني حَتّى رَغِبتُ فَصِرتَ بي
إِلى بُغضِ ذُلِّ الراغِبينَ إِلَيكا
3. So take this stumble from me if you consider it slight,
Otherwise, I am bound to fall before you.
٣. فَهاتيكَ مِنّي عَثرَةٌ إِن أَقَلتَها
وَإِلّا فَإِنّي في السُقوطِ لَدَيكا
