1. The love of leadership has overwhelmed those on earth
Until some of them oppressed others

2. So my Lord God suffices me, He has no partner
To Him belongs all that was in my fate and destiny

3. Indeed, being content is provision, if you accept it
You will be wealthy and ample in dignity

4. Between the dead and the living there is no kinship
Whoever dies finds himself forsaken and abandoned

5. Time treats me harshly again and again
So my existence is not immune to its blows and shocks

6. Ever since the soul in me was imperfect
A part of me dies every day that passes
