1. You let your self be overcome, heedless of advice,
A self made callous by every admonition.

2. A self well-managed and well-arranged,
Sought after in sleep and in wakefulness.

3. A self that will become confused and tempted
If it is not preserved from them.

4. So God suffices you; there is no god but Him.
He who shepherds the shepherds and preserves what is to be preserved.
