1. I left behind the unenduring abode to one with armies and hosts,
A guardian who guards the night to protect a nation,
١. رَحَلتُ عَنِ الرَبعِ المُحيلِ قَعودي
إِلى ذي زُحوفٍ جَمَّةٍ وَجُنودِ
2. Defending it without sleep from harm,
With Gabriel's banners leading its people,
٢. وَراعٍ يُراعِ اللَيلَ في حِفظِ أُمَّةٍ
يُدافِعُ عَنها الشَرَّ غَيرَ رَقودِ
3. And victory's flags surrounding him and poles,
He shunned the world, certain it was no abode of eternity,
٣. بِأَلوِيَةٍ جِبريلُ يَقدُمُ أَهلَها
وَراياتِ نَصرٍ حَولَهُ وَبُنودِ
4. And held fast to the bonds of Islam through youths,
Three princely rulers of dynasties,
٤. تَجافى عَنِ الدُنيا وَأَيقَنَ أَنَّها
مُفارِقَةٌ لَيسَت بِدارِ خُلودِ
5. The best of sons to the best of fathers,
To the best of forefathers past and ancestors,
٥. وَشَدَّ عُرى الإِسلامِ مِنهُ بِفِتيَةٍ
ثَلاثَةِ أَملاكٍ وُلاةِ عُهودِ
6. The sons of Mustafa, like Aaron around his throne,
So the best attendance around him seated and standing,
٦. هُمُ خَيرُ أَولادٍ لَهُم خَيرُ والِدٍ
لَهُ خَيرُ آباءٍ مَضَت وَجُدودِ
7. Wild gazelles' glances turn among them
In the hearts of lions afraid and cautious,
٧. بَنو المُصطَفى هارونَ حَولَ سَريرِهِ
فَخَيرُ قِيامٍ حَولَهُ وَقُعيدِ
8. Their ancestors a sun which rose in a new moon
And appeared to beholders among fortunate stars.
٨. تُقَلِّبُ أَلحاظَ المَهابَةِ بَينَهُم
عُيونُ ظِباءٍ في قُلوبِ أُسودِ
٩. جُدودُهُمُ شَمسٌ أَتَت في أَهِلَّةٍ
تَبَدَّت لِراءٍ في نُجومِ سُعودِ
