2. His auspicious days that have passed remain immortalized
Its hours are opportunities for good deeds to be coveted

3. The months of this year are sanctified by justice
That they do not know among them the forbidden months

4. The Nile has become restricted and consecrated through you
As if sanctity and prohibition settled within it

5. Your palms rain kindness and bounty
Clouds and dew do not claim its superiority

6. A mouth that you accept is an act of kindness
And the Holy Precinct turns to it daily when it receives

7. Your sons came and the mantle of religion spread
So they warded it off while today it remains orderly

8. And no one knew before seeing them
That fortunes smile at kissing the ground they tread

9. The eyes of all creation slept amidst the justice of their ways
As if our wakefulness in their time is but a dream

10. Al-Nasir your son suffices every quandary
If events did not unveil around it fog

11. Abu Al-Muzaffar if not for whom would never stand
Victoriously advancing neither a day nor step

12. You have honored our dominion with might and beneficence
Fear and absence never touched us

13. And the sun of the Ayyubids guarantees
No injustice or wrong can make us afraid

14. The hand of the Ayyubis smiles at a kingdom
That fate and aspirations fall short of

15. Crowned the protector of God's religion
Holding fast to its rope and to God's rope

16. He draws near and withdraws in days of calm and fury
Like time which grants enjoyment at times and vengeance at others

17. Four things have led the reins of the kingdom to him
Victory of guidance, brilliance, sword, and pen

18. And four things the people of this age have razed through him
Knowledge, patience, good deeds, and generosity

19. And four things the words of truth have accompanied him
Promise, oath, covenant, and pacts

20. And four things have proven true his eulogizers
Lineage, branch, morals, and traits

21. So injustice and stinginess and unbelief have cracked
While justice and munificence and faith are united

22. O best invested with the crown risen
Deeds of nobility pleased with his days and eras

23. Will you listen to my case which I plead
To your sublime while you are the opponent and judge?

24. The rain clouds of your lips haven’t ceased to bestow upon me
To pour upon the garden of my hopes in harmony

25. Until I have reigned with no star made captive by it
To your sublimity, nor sun or flags

26. And today five forbidden years have passed
Not quenching me from you a request or shower

27. I used to have a status known to Arabs and non-Arabs
Among the kings of the Nile before yours

28. And I had an epic with the people
In battle split between faiths disputing

29. Their cordial ties haven’t ceased to walk
To my abode which noble deeds and boons hail

30. I refrained from seeking you due to what was said
That you only grant those touched by distress

31. I am not a man whose place is obscure
Nor do I covet crumbs of beneficence

32. I do not seek donations of wealth
Not blind of organs nor deaf and numb

33. I am the guest of royalty and my tongue imparting
and eloquent mouth gift me beyond guests

34. While you are the noblest of those who tread on this earth
Of you, people indeed have praised what they knew

35. Numerous reports I do not doubt
Far be it that the basis of consensus be dispelled

36. You own Alexandria whose wounds within kindle
Take revenge upon me through it if you will

37. So be gracious, allot half a thousand riyals dividing it
Among them, while you among people have been split into halves

38. And show obligingness, for hunting is the nature of kings
When seeing someone disabled by debt, they race with largesse

39. As for whoever hoped from you for an insignificant gift
Then my judgement in your palm fairness arbitrates

40. You are the Christ while my condition by ailments reeks
So be gracious and cure it with a miraculous feat

41. And if I praised my time though being your servant
By praising you neither would old age or ruins make me weak

42. My passion for Asad al-Din the August while tears
Have flowed from my eyes for him being blood

43. If he lived, I wouldn't have stood in this place
Nor would debt and children and family humiliate me

44. He would elevate me in his lofty presence whenever I feel shy

45. That acquaintances in the niche of the elite are blemishes
Say to my merit preserved for his service

46. That times and ruins are often preserved
And look upon me through his eyes for between you
